Founders Day 21st July 2019.

This annual event held in the grounds of the imposing Stanford Hall was once again blessed with good warm weather.  The Warwickshire section area was well populated with bikes of a wide variety of styles and ages from Peter Browns 1920’s Sunbeam to a relatively modern “monkey bike” and a rare Bridgestone.
The very numerous visitors to our area were interested and complementary about our display.
The show as a whole was full of interesting features including the large display of Royal Enfield Bullets whose 50th anniversary was being celebrated. Quite close to the beer tent!
The huge auto jumble was extremely popular by those looking for that elusive part or new items to adorn their pride and joy. Also by those just wondering if one of the many “barn finds” might be a good winter project.
The crowds were kept entertained by events in the arena including bikes negotiating an obstacle course, and a selection of some of the best and most interesting bikes in the show.
In all a very good day out for anyone with an interest in motorcycles mainly from yesteryear.

Our thanks go to Dave Kendall and Simon Dudfield for organising the stand, Dave Kendall for the photos and Barry Heath for the report.
