The Graham Hallard Breakfast Ride In, 10th June 2018.
As an experiment I decided to have a meet up for breakfast this year rather than have a run with a route card and named it in memory of Graham. The venue was The Malt Kiln Farm at Stretton Under Fosse with riders making their own way taking a route as long or as short as they wished to make it. On a beautifully sunny morning we had nine bikes turn out with two passengers, the bikes ranged from Mike Wills on his 1911 Bradbury with son Matt in the wicker sidecar to Pete Brown on his 1973 Triumph Tiger 750, the other passenger was Judith Coote on the back of Malcolm Griffin on a 1959 BSA A10 Gold Flash. After a chat in the car park we all went to the café where we enjoyed a hearty cooked breakfast. It was nice to see Ricky Richardson who popped along in a Reliant Robin to say hello. Unfortunately as Mike was starting his bike to leave the two speed gear decided to jump off, this was soon reunited with the bike and Mike was on his way. The plan to just have a ride in was popular with everyone, as was the venue, so I will stick to this format and see how it goes.
