Autumn Run 7th October 2018.

“Thirteen riders and two in a 3 wheeled Reliant turned out at Kenilworth Rugby Club on a fine but chilly morning. Brenda Hallard was on the oldest machine there, her 1929 350 AJS sounding magnificent, while Bob Badland supported us at the other end of the age scale on his on his 2005 Pan European.  Rikki Richardson was the passenger in his son in law’s 1999 Reliant Robin which at one time used to belong to long time member Ted Morris. Many other makes were present but the two most eye-catching were Dave Sketchley’s ’85 Honda VT500 and Robert Payne’s ’77 Gold Wing.
The route took us out through Stoneleigh, Marton, Leamington Hastings, Grandborough, Barby and Kilsby before doubling back through the Gunpowder plot village of Ashby St Legers where riders successfully navigated a route sheet test (hiccup) across to Braunston.  From there through Willoughby and Birdingbury on to the finish at the Friendly Inn at Frankton, a total of 40 miles.
A big thank you to Nigel and Deb for their hospitality and quickly providing roast Sunday dinners for the hungry ones.”

(The hiccup was a missing T for a tee Junction - what made it worse was that there was no road sign there!)

Our thanks go to Alan Bailey for organising the run, taking the photos and writing the report.
