The Chairman’s Social 6th July 2016 held at the Blue Lias.
I changed the date of my Chairman’s Social to avoid a clash with the Midland Sections Club night as the numbers attending my event started to dwindle due to people going to the Midland Section. The change of date was successful as the numbers were up again, 25 bikes arrived ranging from Richard Woodcock’s 1913 Rex to Maurice Taylor’s 2011 Moto Guzzi, with a number other members attending by car, when we arrived it was difficult to get on site as a rather large event for cars, bikes and tractors was going on in the pubs camping field, this should have taken place the week before but due to the wet weather it had to be postponed, what it did do was increase the number of spectators looking at our bikes with some showing an interest in joining the club. The weather was warm and dry with the sun occasionally breaking through the cloud. At around 7.45pm we moved indoors for the buffet although many people took theirs outside to eat it. The event in the camping field gave everyone a chance to look at something other than bikes so a pleasant evening was enjoyed by all.
