Founders Day 2015.
Congratulations to Dave Mac and David Payne who both came away from Founders Day with an award, Dave mac for the best Oily Rag machine with his veteran Rudge (what else could it be) and David Payne for the best Pre 1940 machine with his 1915 Baby Triumph.

Founders Day 2015
Founders Day this year started at five in the morning with rain pouring down. By the time Bill Wise and I left home at eight it was dry. The day ended up with bright sunshine which attracted a very large crowd. There were lots of stalls in the auto jumble, there were some interesting looking project bikes offered at varying prices from a bargain to "they must be joking".
Our stand showed a wide range both in age and type of motor cycle from David Payne’s 1915 Baby Triumph, three Ariels, a BSA, two Suzukis right up to Dave Sketchleys BMW. The Baby Triumph won the best pre 1940 cup with Dave Mac’s Rudge winning the oily rag cup although Dave displayed his Rudge on the Rudge stand not the Warwickshire Section stand.
The picture of long standing member Bill Wise seems to be praising the weather or the size of extension David Payne needs to his sideboard for yet more silverware.
Our thanks go to Simon Dudfield and Bill Wise for transporting the gazebo and banners to Stanford Hall and organising the stand.
