Kenilworth Run Sunday 2nd June 2013.
After a spell of unseasonal cold wet weather the sun finally shone for the weekend which attracted 33 bikes to the start of the Kenilworth run with some riders coming from Banbury and the Midland Section, our Chairman was on child minding duties for the weekend so he and Fran brought their grandchildren along in the car to see us at the start.
A wide range of bikes from David Paynes 1912 Triumph to Martyn Roberts 1982 thunderbird, including two vintage bikes riden by Derek Morris and Frank Parker, all completed the 38 mile run, which featured some challenging roads with the route taking them through Hatton, Balsall Common then on to north Meriden, Eastern Green and finally to the finish at the Tipperary Inn where refreshments were available.
