The Autumn Run 4th October 2015
Nineteen riders signed on in perfect sunny weather: an interesting mix of machines, five with girder forks, one of which we hadn’t seen previously, a pristine Sunbeam M9 belonging to one Phil Nutt who signed on as a day member. Let’s hope he joins. It was also very pleasing to see Mick Jaggard valiantly taking part on a shortened version of the run on his Commando, ably shepherded by Frank Parker on his P&M Panther.
The 50 mile route took a completely different direction from previous years, avoiding the dreaded Northamptonshire back lanes. It lead out to Hatton, Norton Lindsey, Hampton Lucy, Wellesbourne, Kineton, the Burton Dassett Country Park, Farnborough, Bishops Itchington, Harbury, Long Itchington, Eathorpe, Stretton on Dunsmore and finally to the Friendly Inn at Frankton where we were warmly welcomed by our host Nigel.
Our thanks go to Alan Bailey for the report and Photos also to our hosts Nigel and Deb at the Friendly Inn
